Maximum capacity: 14 people (including children; babies not counted)

✅ Booking and Payment

• Total rental amount is due at the time of booking
• Payment accepted via Interac e-transfer, credit card, or another approved method
• $1000 security deposit required 48 hours before arrival, refunded within 48 hours after departure if no issues are found

❌ Cancellation Policy

• 60+ days before arrival: full refund minus $50 admin fee
• 30–59 days before arrival: 50% refund
• Less than 30 days: no refund
• No refunds for early departures or no-shows
• Partial refund may be offered if dates are rebooked

🕑 Check-in / Check-out

• Check-in: after 4:00 PM
• Check-out: before 11:00 AM
• Unauthorized late check-out may incur a $100 fee

🧼 Guest Responsibilities

• Leave the chalet in a reasonably clean condition
• Wash dishes / run the dishwasher
• Properly dispose of trash, recycling, and compost
• Gather sheets, towels, and mattress protectors in the laundry room (excluding bedspreads)
• Close all windows and lock all doors
• Remove all personal food from the fridge (except host-provided items)

The guest is responsible for any damage or breakage during the stay.

Also responsible for the behavior of all individuals present at the chalet.

🚫 Rules and Regulations

• No parties, no outdoor music, no fireworks
• No pets (indoors or outdoors)
• No camping, trailers, or RVs on the property
• Strict limit of 14 guests
• Quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM – lake is echo-sensitive
• No personal watercraft – only those provided by the host may be used
• Monitored by GardaWorld – violations may result in $1000+ fine and rental termination with no refund

🔞 Age Requirements and Group Restrictions

1. Minimum Booking Age: The booking guest must be 30+ and present for the full stay. Booking for groups of young adults or minors without a responsible adult present is not allowed.

2. Behavior and Verification: Host may verify group size and age. If discrepancies are found (e.g., adult booking for minors), the reservation may be canceled.

3. Purpose: These rules protect the property, ensure a quiet setting, and maintain a quality guest experience.

⚠️ Liability

The chalet is rented for vacation purposes only and may not be sublet or loaned to third parties.

The owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, theft, or loss during the stay.

The guest is fully responsible for any municipal or regulatory infractions during the rental period.

📌 Occupancy & Use

• Maximum capacity: 14 guests (including children; babies not counted)
• Subletting or transferring the rental to a third party is strictly prohibited

🚭 Prohibited Activities & Conduct

• Smoking (tobacco or cannabis) is strictly forbidden inside the house
• Smoking outdoors is permitted only with use of the ashtray provided – no cigarette butts left on the ground
• No deep fryers or oil-based cooking on the stove (fire hazard)
• Pets are not allowed unless explicitly authorized in writing

🔊 Respect for the Neighborhood

• Excessive noise is not allowed indoors or outdoors
• Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM to respect the residential setting

🧹 Housekeeping & Safety

• Never leave the house with windows open or appliances running
• Do not mix white linens with colored laundry
• In summer: do not run air conditioning while windows are open
• In winter: keep windows closed at all times

🧽 Check-out Procedure

Check-out time: 11:00 AM (late check-out without approval may incur an $80/hour fee)

Before leaving:

• Empty trash, recycling, and compost bins
• Empty the fridge and pantry
• Place all sheets and towels in the laundry room (2nd floor)
• Do not mix cleaning cloths with linens or towels
• Bring outdoor cushions inside storage bins if rain is expected

💰 Guest Responsibility

• Guest is responsible for any damage, breakage, or municipal/regulatory infractions during their stay
• Guest is responsible for the conduct of all occupants
• Additional charges may apply if rules are violated
